As part of the NSW Department of Industry’s “Boosting Business Innovation Program” UNSW set up a Global Innovation Connection Program to assist regional and metropolitan SMEs to innovate via co-working facilities and facilitated programs along with access to world-class researchers. In order to move forward with the initiate UNSW needed to create a new brand and build a website and marketing materials to promote and educate SMEs about the program.
UNSW Australia is a major world leading university with substantial international connections. UNS has established many effective collaborative programs to support and foster all stages of the innovation pipeline. The UNSW 2025 strategy and innovation statement commits the university to position itself as Australia’s global university with a strong innovation agenda.
FIRST worked closely with the UNSW team to develop a fresh brand for the initiative; TechConnect. This brand was then applied to the design of a website outlining the benefits and goals of the program to potential applicants.
This straight forward site clearly articulates the benefits of the programme whilst providing information about researchers, training and events. The site has an email capture so that potential applicants can stay in touch with upcoming events and changes to the program. In concert with this is the easy application form.
As part of this project FIRST designed a new brand including the logo and look and feel for other offline elements such as brochures and information sheets.
