Potentia is a unique collaboration between leaders in business and education, reflecting their broader focus on lifelong learning.

CLIENT: Potentia Tutoring    |    PROJECT: Website design and development

Educating the masses

Dymocks, Australia’s leading bookseller, came to us with a new business venture called Potentia Tutoring. Dymocks believes the tutoring business was a natural progression of its goal to educate the younger generation, which complements its charity organisation Dymocks Children’s Charities (DCC) which aims to increase Australia’s literacy level. DCC has developed unique literacy support programs and worked with primary schools and preschools to encourage all students to cultivate a love of books and to read every day. It only seemed natural that Dymocks’ next step was in tutoring primary and secondary age students, and encourage a lifelong love for learning.

To achieve Dymocks’ goal, FIRST was commissioned to work alongside its brand agency to bring Potentia Tutoring to life. FIRST handles Potentia’s website design and development, content, SEO, SEM, PPC and Google Analytics.

A fresh way to look at education

The beautiful new brand was implemented across all digital assets.

Built from the ground up

Potentia needed a website that differentiated it from its competitors, promoted its values and aims, modern, easy to use and encourages trust.

Kentico, a scalable CMS, was chosen so that it could grow with the business, have the ability to build custom functionality and integrates with third-party business systems such as Microsoft Dynamics.

Ease of discovery

With so many subjects containing different learning levels across age groups and locations, finding the right one can be a challenge. Modular design elements provided throughout the site allow for intuitive subject finding and informative content that helps generate leads.

Smooth enrolment process

Potentia is one of the few tutoring businesses that have an eCommerce solution to allow users to book and pay online via an enrolment form.

The process of enrolling a student into a course is made simple with a 4-step online form. Users can also opt to browse through all available courses and add them to their cart one at a time and then make a single payment.

Additional functionality include abandoned cart marketing and multiple avenues for contacting Potentia (phone, Facebook Messenger, online form, in person).
